Born in Otley, Yorkshire in 1955. Parents Jim
and Stella Morris.
Siblings- Janet,
Greg
and Alan.
Lived in Bramhope, Southport, Newcastle, Bromley, Oxford,
Cambridge, Pittsburgh (6 months in 1990) and Italy (11 months
of 1998). Now back in Cambridge.
I went to Bramhope County Primary, Otley Grammar, Southport
High School , Southport Art College and then Newcastle Poly
for a term, became disillusioned with the Art world and turned
to science so studied radiography in Bromley.
I worked as a radiographer in Oxford for 5 years at the JR2,
but apart from that I have mainly managed to avoid working
for a living!
I spent 6 months in 1985/86 travelling on my own, staying
with friends and family where possible otherwise in hostels
or similar. First across America by bus, then to New Zealand,
New Caledonia, Australia, Bali and Java (with a friend), Sri
Lanka and India.
I married Philip Sargent in 1986 and we have 2 boys born in
89 and 91.
I am now working as a radiographer again, part time, at Addenbrooke's
hospital, a convenient 11 minute cycle ride away.
My hair is no longer green though maybe it ought to be.
Over the years I have taken thousands of photos, here are
some of them.
Pre 1970
Old family photos and the black and white days of my childhood.
1970s
Colour slowly comes to the world.
1980s
My busiest decade, lots of weekends away, foreign trips,
including round the world, then getting married and becoming
a parent.
1990s
Children, domesticity and some travel, lived in Pittsburg
and Italy for a while.
2000 - 2005
The digital age, I started taking more photos in an hour
than I used to take in a fortnight.
